Frequently Asked Questions
How do I arrange an appointment?
Please ring me on 01752 361576 between the hours of 9am to 8pm, preferably Monday through Friday. We will have a quick chat about your situation to see whether we feel that I can help. Then we will arrange a time to meet, at my office in Plymouth or via Skype. Same day appointments are sometimes possible, especially for Skype appointments, but it is best to give two or three days' notice to ensure you get your preferred day and time.
What are your rates and how can you be paid?
My rates are £60 per hour for in-person or Skype appointments. Cash, cheque, money order or BACS transfer are preferred; card and PayPal are possible.
Can I book an appointment by email?
Preferably not - it is far easier to arrange an appointment and answer any questions by telephone. If you must email me, please leave me a contact number and a good time to call you, so we can discuss things easily and properly.
Will you keep my information confidential? Can I remain anonymous?
I am bound by the codes of practice of my profession to keep your information confidential, and you don't have to give me your real name if you don't want to, but it would be good to have a contact number for you in case we need to follow up.
Therapy over Skype? What's that like, and how do I set up my computer to do it?
While in-person consultations are recommended, I can do therapy over a Skype video call with you, where we can meet "face to face" at a distance. My approach to therapy uses a lot of visualisation, so I am unable to do telephone consultations.
To set up a Skype video call, you will need a computer with an Internet connection and a webcam. There are directions on how to get set up for a video call here - I am happy to help if you are having difficulties. I'll provide you with my Skype contact details when we schedule our appointment.
If you have further questions, or would like to get in touch to arrange an appointment, please phone me via the details on my Contact page.
